Apple Revealed iPhone 4S, Not iPhone 5; No Release Date for iPad 3

Posted by admin under News on Sunday Oct 16, 2011

A lot of people were disappointed when Apple announced that their next iPhone offering is the iPhone 4S and not the highly-anticipated iPhone 5. Moreover, despite rumors and the discontinuing of the iPad 2, there is no concrete date for the release of the iPad 3.

The new iPhone 4S went to pre-order last Friday and surprisingly surpassed sales records of iPhone 4 and iPad 2. The iPhone 4S will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB model with price tags of $199, $299, and $399, respectively.

The iPhone 4S has a new antenna design that includes GSM and CDMA antenna making it a true world phone. Have a high-speed internet as the iPhone 4S is equipped with an A5 chip processor that is installed in iPad 2. Take wonderful photos with the 8-megapixel camera coupled with new camera optics that will shun digital cameras.

Another big announcement is the release of Siri, which is the voice control feature that transforms human voice commands into actions. In the event, it is said that Siri will act as your personal assistant. Thus, you can give instructions such as reading a text message, noting a reminder and moving a scheduled appointment.

iOS 5 is also unveiled in Apple’s media event. The iOS 5 is a major upgrade for the i-devices, including a notification center, iMessage, newsstand, reminders, and other upgrades. Siri is included in the iOS 5. iCloud is released along with the iOS 5 that offers cloud storage, syncing and backup services. iCloud will be integrated in the OS X and iOS. The iOS 5 and iCloud will be released on October 12.

Sprint will be offering their first iPhone, the iPhone 4S. However, this is not an exclusive for the telecom.

iPhone 4S will be available in sophisticated colors of black and white. iPhone 4S will hit Apple stores on October 14. However, shipment may be delayed because of the huge demand for the product.

This is the first time that Apple’s new chief executive Tim Cook took center stage after Steve Jobs went to retirement last August. Unfortunately, the after the event and introduction of new Apple products, sad news of Steve Jobs’ death was released by Apple.

It is definitely a sad day for Apple. It is quite disappointing that the tech giant released the iPhone 4S and not the mythical iPhone 5. If not now, when will iPhone 5 hit the market? It is also disappointing that there has been no announcement for iPad 3. Few things are new with Apple’s announcement, the iOS 5 and iCloud was announced in the WWDC event last June.

However, the huge sales of the iPhone 4S transformed the skepticism over the new product and it is living to its hype. It is suspected that the new exciting features such as the Siri, faster processor and awesome camera as well as the untimely death of Apple’s ex-chief boosted the sales of the iPhone 4S.

Rumors About The Curved Glass Cover For iPad 3

Posted by admin under News on Thursday Oct 6, 2011

There is a fast spreading rumor that the iPad 3 will have a curved glass for its cover as a refreshing display. There were devices before that already tried this trend of curved glasses such as the Google Nexus S which is also connected to the business relationship of Apple with Samsung that was corrupted. You might also remember too that the iPod Nano in its fifth generation also had a curved glass screen. But do you think this will work for iPad 3? The main concept of this curved glass idea for smartphones is to allow a better level of comfort with the entire gadget against your face with every phone call.

The iPhone 5 is also set to be introduced soon but it is not connected to rumors of having this curved glass screen. There were sources though from the glass industry that such screen would not be made available up until the first quarter of 2012. And to think that the release date of the iPad 3 is set to be on the same part of the 2012 year too.

Many competitors are trying to make an edge over the rest by getting into this curved glass trend with their own gadgets. There were also reports that Apple purchases some equipment to polish glass for its main suppliers as assumed to be a sign of their preparation for devices that may come out with a curved cover glass. This then leaves all doors open for the rumors about the iPad 3. But we think that we will not see that until they finally release the iPhone 6.

Some of the major suppliers of glass in the industry include the Fuji Crystal, the G-Tech, and the Lens Technology that are rumored to make the screens of the iPad. But one must take note too that the sources personally think this trend of glass cover may just live short and would easily just pass.

So what do you think of this rumor about the iPad 3? Are you in favor of this glass cover which can bring benefits more than just improved aesthetic design to the gadget?

Apple seemed to have come up with an answer to the questions posed about the release of the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 with the very recent release of the iOS 5 beta. Within its code is an area that supports the LTE enabled devices. This then is the confirmation of a lot of reports that the iPhone 5 will also have the 4G LTE connection. It seemed unlikely though that they will release the iPhone 5 with the LTE by October and then the iPad 3 without it.

If we would try to remember, the vision of Steve Job for the iPad is to replace the personal computers of many people soon. And part of its entire plan is to power up its system with the other part is the type of connection that it will have. Hence, to enable the iPad 3 with the 4G LTE can truly make a lot of sense in line with this vision. There were even reports several months ago that the iPad 3 will have 4G connections according to some data by AT&T.

The most present iPad 2 renders the 3G connection through Verizon and AT&T in the US. Since this release, the sales of the iPads became higher when compared to the Wifi based models. This then poses a great demand for a service that can be access by its user wherever they may go. There are also rumors that the iPad 3 will be sold with a discount. This was based on the belief that Apple would finally permit other companies to subsidize the cost of purchasing the gadget as they agree to sign with a data contract that would last for multiple number of years. This would surely tempt a lot of individuals to get their hands in to the tablet market.

Many are scared of the cost of this entry into this market. But if the prices of the iPad 3 reduced, this could see a bigger surge of sales upon its release. This is shown by the most recent sell off made by the HP Touchpad. It proved that there is surely a high market for very affordable tablets. It seems by now that the iPad 3 will soon be released in the early parts of 2012 but the question lies now on the features it will include.

There were rumors that it will have an upgraded display that has been speculated to be the main cause of their delays. But of course we think that Apple does not have any plans anyway of releasing it this early. There are also claims that it would increase its speed and of course with the option that it would be offered with a 4G connection.
